Motive Talk 1.0

The Professional Development avenue of Rotaract Club of Colombo central took the first step to motivate the public in achieving their life goals, proving the above quote is precise.

Indeed, there may be a number of bumps in the middle of your way to success, yet you should believe in yourself a little more. So, the project Motive Talks came in on the ground as an ideal solution to guide the public in pursuing their life purposes in a fruitful way.

The First phase of Motive Talks was held on 14 th August 2021, from 10 AM onwards via Google Meets in the presence of the guest speaker, Mr Kelum Weligama, Renowned Writer and Personal Development Coach. The sole purpose of the project was to bring the topic “The role of personal development in achieving career goals” to the table, meanwhile unlocking the doors of personal excellence.

“Stop working- start performing” is the best quote that helped fuel our brains during the session. Mr Kelum Weligama explained the Concept of HARD – Heartfelt, Animated, Required and Difficult – the way how it aids someone in achieving career goals. Another captivating fact we got to know was that thoughts are key to success. Therefore, we always have to control our thoughts in the way to pursue higher life purposes. In a nutshell, Motive Talk 1.0 was such an amazing session for all participants to reach greater heights in their own life.

The session was successfully wrapped up by the host for the day, Rtr. Prasadie  Karunarathne and the event garnered over 30 participants who are urged to be change-makers in the world. Another massive effort of professional development paid off in the end. Moreover, they are anticipating that you all will keep in touch with upcoming sessions of the Motive Talks webinar series.
